What is tree on cover of September/October 2007 ? - tngarden - 03-25-2008
Can someone please tell me what this tree on the right hand side of the sept/oct. 07 catalog is. It gives a planting guide for the left hand side of entry but does not give name of this tree. Has big white blooms...almost like hibiscus??? Thanks!

The tree on the cover of issue 77 is a Kousa dogwood or Cornus kousa. It's cold-hardy in USDA zones 5 to 8. There are a number of varieties along with the species. Just type the botanical name into your search engine and you'll find a lot of information on the Web about it.
