What to do with those fall leaves

1) Mulch mow them back into the turf.

2) Pick them up with your bagging mower and use them for mulch on yor planting beds.

3)Pick them up with your bagging mower and compost them.

4) Do not bag them up and throw them away since they are too valuable a resource for that.

5) Do not rake them up since that, raking, will damage the grass crowns from whence new growth comes.

I bag them after running over with the bagger on the mower, keep in spring or later and use the leaves for mulch in the garden, then in the fall till the leaves in.

"1) Mulch mow them back into the turf."
Yep this is what we do. with Cindy's gardens and the property our house is on we have about 3.5 acres of maple, sicamore and beach leaves. What else could reasonably be done with this many leaves?

Shred them up and use them for mulches on the flower beds. Your soil up there is most likely sand and sandy soils need lots of organic matter to fill the pore spaces between the sand particles so both nutrients and moisture are held in the plants root zone long enough for the plants to utilize them.

Yes, we found mulching them into our grass make a difference. You are correct, our soil is very sandy.
