I've recently moved to a mountain home(NC) with well established Holly Bushes (about 6 feet tall). Since spring they have begun to have many yellow leaves which fall off. The leaves are nearer the center of the tree. Don't know the variety. Anyone have any ideas about the cause. I also noticed similar "problems" at my church which is 15 miles away.
Thanks.

I had that happen to me too. I thought something was seriously wrong with my 20 ft. American Holly. Actually what is happening is that your evergreen holly is shedding old leaves. Because it has nice new green leaves it is more noticeable. It will stop after a few more weeks. In a few more weeks it will start to bloom with very small blooms.
